Brecon Beacons 360 Drone Shoot
360 Video Camera Shoot in the Brecon Beacons

Well, we shall certainly slept after this project. One of our more exhausting ones to say the very least.
7:00am meeting on a cold, wet, windy and snowy day at the foot of Pen Y Fan, Brecon Beacons, Wales for this combined 360 and aerial drone shoot. And then there was the fact we had to lug all our equipment with us to the summit – we certainly left feeling more than a little tired. The M7Aerial drones and M7Virtual 360 cameras are heavy bits of kit to carry 1.5km especially over terrain such as that of the Brecon Beacons.
The shoot was for a commercial for a leading sports headset company. Their remit was to show how the equipment could be used by athletes in all conditions. What better way than using 360 and drones to show this off.

The 360 Camera footage was used half way up the Brecons, to capture our model in the snow. The footage shows the extreme conditions and behind the scenes of what is involved for those short clips that make the final edit. So many people out trekking wanted to know what it was we were doing and kept teasing us that the summit is still hours away…!!!

Well they weren’t joking! After nearly 3 hours we made the summit and as if by magic the low lying clouds had cleared to give us those vast landscape shots we wanted. The Park Rangers had been great advising the team on the routes and that certainly made a difference, ensuring the safety of the crew which is critical in these conditions.

We’ll keep you posted on the final edit but here are a couple of shots from the day: We slept that night we can assure you
